| i know i'd really like to play for MU's club team, and i should be able to as long as my knee holds up well enough...
ther's another one of my teammates who is going to St. John's(MN) next year and is thinking about trying out there. Another guy is going to SMU in texas but he's not sure that he'll play lacrosse there.

| Eau Claire's already set with a good goalie, who is only going to get better. I worked with him like 3 times this last summer, and from then to this spring he turned in to an all conference goalie. Verona is just good at breeding goalies I guess... |

Eau Claire is where it's at. That is to say, until I transfer to the UofM...then that's where it'll be at.

| I'm a junior this year so I still have one more year playing HS lax. But when my time comes to go to college I plan on going to Stevens Point which is MCLA-A. Hopefully I can get my stuff together and actually make it into UW-SP. | |

| It's to bad Stout didn't get to scrimmage some more against a team like Eau Claire, it would have helped both our teams in the long run, plus you guys are about 20 minutes (at most) away.
I just remember that frozen game we tried playing where two of our guys (I believe) broke fingers because of the cold.
Maybe next year? If you guys would be up to it, and if these forums stay active, we'll have to look more into it. I know I was a little disappointed with the very few amount of games we got to play.

| I'm sure we'll scrimmage Stout next year; we definitely take advantage of your proximity. But to be honest, it feels like a football game whenever we scrimmage you. | |

No doubt about it, we have a hard hitting team. It was a complete shell shock for me, moving from a Highschool where the coach taught stick skills more than anything else. Highschool: Feet. Stick. Body. Here at Stout: Body. Body. Body w/ a slash. However, I have to say, a hard hitting body check saved us more than once against a team. Things mifght change a little with the graduation of some seniors, but who knows.

| Gotta rep the UMLL in the National MCLA playoffs:
In the A division, (6)Duluth won their first round game over (11)Sonoma State 10-7 and they play their quarterfinal game today at 4pm against (3)Oregon, should be a good one, a rematch of an early spring out of conference game.
In the B division, (1)St. John's takes on (8)Harding in the quarterfinals at 4pm today. (4)St. Thomas will take on (5)Dayton and try to meet their conference rival St. John's once again in the playoffs, it would be their third meeting this year, at 1pm today. Edit: Both St. Thomas and St. John's had first round byes.
Goodluck to all three teams!

I've got UMD and St. John's making it to the final round. Should be another fine year for the UMLL.

Goodluck to all three teams! Duluth fell to Oregon 8-10, and then lost to Northeastern 6-9. good season bulldogs, hope to see you on the pitch next year. St. Thomas lost to Dayton 8-10 and then beat Emory 6-4. St. John's took down Harding 12-6 and plays Dayton tomorrow(friday the 18th of May). GOOD LUCK!

| It's always tough playing against St. Thomas/John's, but we'll start preparing during fall ball, which usually kicks off midway through September. We'll play some tournaments in the late winter to begin the spring season.
Compared to highschool, we begin spring lax MUCH sooner.

| it looks like St. John's took down Dayton 14-4 and then fell to Montana the next day 5-15. not sure if that's the end of all things for St. John's, but good luck.
St. Thomas defeated Emory 6-4. not sure what the purpose of the game was in the brackets or who they may play next, but good luck.

| I think a lot of guys going into college are too intimidated to try out for their school's team, even if it's club ball like at most schools around here. The truth is, the only teams in the UMLL that hold tryouts are SJU, UST, Duluth and next year the U of M. We had a kid this year come from Brookfield WI and ended up being a starter on defense. I'd highly recommend at least scoping out your school's team if you've got even a shred of interest in continuing playing at the collegiate level.
If anyone is interested in playing MCLA ball, I am the contact for the University of Minnesota team and can get you in contact with any other program you'd like.
