| not a big fan of the pro 7.... i'm just not sure about it.... i'm gonna try to pawn off my cpx for a cpx ti, we'll see about the pro7.
the venom is just wierd, and the new riddell looks ridiculous. from what i hear, the triumphs are very comfortable, so that'd be my next choice to anything from cascade.

| From what I've heard, the Venoms are basically baby food covered in burnt hair.
The pro 7's are supposed to be extremely light and comfortable.
Triumph's are used by many, as well as the cpx.
and i'm still with the clh2 :] ahaha.
I'd stick with the CPX or Triumph for now, because at 210 dollars (correct me if i'm wrong about the price) it really isn't worth that much money.

| I love CPX's. ANd for the current price of the Pro 7, I would stick with a CPX for now, unless my team ordered them next year, which is doubtful. | |

who of your friends has touched it? odd because they only came in yesterday to shops around the US.... anyway, i have tried it on...very light helmet. pretty comfortable and the vision is improved upon the cpx. we brought in 3 total at middleton sports and fitness and retail at $209. the helmet if pretty balanced too, so that is a plus in my book. personally though, i wouldn't ever leave my triumph...that is the best helmet on the market right now. fit, vision, comfort (unless you have a ungodly head size)

| i've tried on the triumph. incredibly comfortable and pretty slick looking as well. memory foam makes it feel like you're not even wearing a helmet. facemask offers decent field vision as well. i've got one coming in the mail, can't wait... | |

yeah, you're right. I just don't have the money to buy a cpx, so I'm sticking with the one i have. eventually I'll get a nice helmet.

I just don't have the money to buy a cpx, so I'm sticking with the one i have. eventually I'll get a nice helmet. *******not saying the cascade clh2 isn't a protective helmet******* ...but wouldn't you be feeling foolish if you took a hit and the smaller chin piece broke or your face hit the mask and you suffered a pretty serious injury. when you could have gone with a cpx ti, or a pro 7, riddell, or a triumph and been protected on that hit. also, i would like to have everyone consider buying the shock doctor chin pieces. they fit on your lax helmet (originally sold for football...) anyway.. they are honestly more comfortable, more hygienic and a million times safer. especially after your helmet passes the one year warranty period. i have seen test data proving that the shock doctor chin cups were preventing serious injury. in the coming years, there won't be any stock leather chin pieces sold with helmets. if you can't upgrade your helmet, do yourself the service of protecting you a little bit more with a good chin cup.

I was going to get one of the triumph's because my cpro is old and I have two concussions in the thing and a neck and back injury. I threw one of those things on and got it half way on my face. so I, unfortunately, have an ungodly large head. any body know anything about the venom, I'm just curious about the thing.

| The Venom is just more proof that Warrior would rather copy other companies' idea and make a quick buck than actually develop a unique product of its own. The thing is a knockoff of both the cpx and the triumph, with some extra plastic thrown in to disguise the similarities.
Some of their "new" ideas are just ridiculous marketing ploys.

But do you guys sell the Shock Doctor chin cup things at Middleton Cycle? It sounds like a good idea. Sorry if I'm taking this thread off topic.

Some of their "new" ideas are just ridiculous marketing ploys. it is the exact same thing as the triumph helmet, just with air instead of a screw. they did copy another company...their own since warrior owns brine.

| You might want to see if Stoughton wasnts to make the gradual change to black shell w/ purple visor and chin. They had talked about it last year, not sure if its still on the coaches mind. | |

it couldn't be a gradual change from this season on. it's either you have to have the same helmet with same matching colors or you dont. so if a couple have black shell...with purple visor and chin and thats what you want to make a motion to...everyone has to do it for this coming season.

| I thought it was only shell, guess not. Looks like Stoughton is stuck with black unless they do a team order.
I know its same visor, chin, shell and decals in the division I play (MCLA), didnt think it was comin like that for HS in Wisconsin. Oh well. We still might have a few players with the spray painted lids... lol.
