| Will any GLLL teams make it into UMLL any time soon? Or whats the deal with them being more general club than school club? Im not aware of current situation.
I know at Rockhurst University we are considered a school club team. We receive some school funding, actually most league fees are covered by the school, refs, fees, field, some team supplies (balls, net, goals, stringing equipment, and some team sticks) and odds and ends. We are very low on the totem pole though, we are near the bottom for seeing the trainer, and its hard to schedule nice practice times on the turf field or indoors.

| i think that a bunch of the teams in the GLLL could compete in the MCLA. I'll sue the fall season as evidence, Marquette suffered losses to UWM and Madison. it all depends on how much money the teams want to spend in the league. If i'm not mistaken, Steven's Point and Eau Claire were both GLLL before they moved to the MCLA? | |

| You are mistaken. Neither team was in the GLLL.
Fall games are meaningless.

Fall games are meaningless. never knew that. the fall and the spring are two totally different seasons, but i still think that Madison could really put up a good fight and win quite a few games in the MCLA.

| I guess its really, im just suprised Madison isnt in UMLL. They have two teams and alot of players, and skill.
Rockhurst, where I play, its their 2nd year after being reformed and we have been submitted to UMLL B-Division. Is it the money thats a main issue?

Is it the money thats a main issue? if i'm not mistaken, the dues at some of the top teir MCLA schools are all around 1000 dollars, and i'm pretty sure that the dues for the GLLL are significantly less--somebody back me up or shut me down.

| Is that like 1,000 per player?
If so, isn't there money that schools hand out for school sanctioned clubs and what not?

| Our team fees this year were 200 dollars. We had beaten Marquette's MCLA team in the fall, and they said we should contemplate joing the MCLA. Athough it would be a lot of fun, our team dues would have to increse 5x. It really isnt fair for some kids to not be able to play because the university doesnt give enough money as it is. | |

| Hmm... I am paying little to nothing playing for Rockhurst University, I was ready to dish out a few hundred, now I'm help to just supplying money for travel, hotel, food, and my own equipment along side any team clothing im required to purchase. | |

| The problem is at some Universities, like Whitewater, a large number of players are kids who start new in college. 90% of those kids won't come out and try the game if they have to pay 1k to play. I understand schools like Eau Claire can keep costs down while in MCLA, but as for Whitewater we'd lose at least half of our team if dues were to rise above our 100 for the year. | |
