| We played at those absurd times due a late scheduling error on behalf of another team in our conference. Due to it being a frigid Minnesota winter, we can only play in domes during the first part of the season...as dome space is limited, and must be acquired many months in advance, the only times that we could play in these domes happened to be the least-desired times possible. That said, we were rather lucky to be playing inside, period. I think most people would agree that a 2 am indoor game sounds better than an evening game played outside in -25 degree windchill.
In response to Onesinglemove (you really should develop several moves, btw...jk), we played well given the circumstances, beating Missouri State and Eastern Michigan. Our practices never end before 11pm or midnight, so most of us don't find late night lax that unusual.
I'll keep you updated with results. Next weekend is the biggest in our team's history, as we host #2 Colorado State and #7 Boston College.

| Bice tallies an endless amount of points, most of which are recorded incorrectly and won't be properly assessed by the league. He scores at will.
Nate makes plays, and really helps our transition game, but a bum thumb held him out of the games this weekend.
Pete Rohrer definitely deserves props, he's been playing on a sore knee and found a way to tally 3 money assists in the first half vs. Kansas. Rest assured, the Verona alumni are repping mala well.

| Wow, I am sure Minnesota would make Rockhurst look like a highschool team. Even though we probably already do. | |

| okay, as much as i hate to admit it, Marquette lost bigtime to Illinois on Sunday. 17-6. lots of stuff for us to work on down here in the Valley. Illinois didnt have any stand-out players, we just under-performed. ha, we didnt even have a tape in the cam-corder to record the game.... . yea, about that.... | |

| Yeah, we just scrimmage a local men's team, lost 7-6 in the last 10 seconds of the game. They may be old, but alot of them played NCAA for such teams like Army, Air Force, Vermont and some others.
We dont have a real game until the 29th vs. St. Louis University and the 20th vs. Washington University - St. Louis.

| okay.... so, Marquette went on a big road-trip last week during our spring-break down south to visit Georgia Tech, Univeristy of South Carolina and Wake Forest. Each game ended in a loss for us(MU). It was an embarrassing 20-2 defeat vs. GA Tech, then a 18-9 defeat at USC. our last game was played in the rain in Winston-Salem NC at Wake Forest, a much better effort against the demon deacons, but we still lost 13-7.
you can read a more in-depth, semi-sugar-coated review of the games at www.marquettelacrosse.net.
Real rough beginnings for Marquette this year, opening the season against 4 teams that are much more experienced than us. we've improved dramatically from game to game(as the scores seem to indicate...kinda) but we still need work...
gonna be an interesting weekend in Ames vs StOlaf and Iowa State coming up. I'll keep you guys posted.

| Minnesota - 15 Steven's Point - 6
The U dominated from beginning to end, could probably have had twice as many goals. Defense let in alot of garbage at the end, mainly on man-downs.
Again, Sid reffed.

| Congrats so far this season Storts and the rest of Minnesota. We have unfortunately not been clicking as well as we would have hoped this far into the season, but there are still many games to be played. | |

| Ha, I wish! I did put my name on a petition entitled "Fire Sid Flanders", which has allegedly caused enough of a stir that MN no longer hires him for UMLL games.
He'll be a goner soon enough.

| Rockhurst 14 - Pittsburgh State (KS) 5
Scrimmage... we had some issues and were down 4 starters during this game. One got a concussion early in the game, one split his chin bad from getting cross checked (stitches), one with a knee injury from yesterday, and another that had a knee injury. Good game, enjoyable a little more to finally win. Hopefully it carries us on to a good game next weekend... Creighton and University Nebraska- Omaha.
