Im sure it would have been a blow out, but Waunakee faces Middleton again this Friday, so i understand there concern and wanting to be conservative. Yeah this friday will be a good game we played conservative vs sauk to keep guys ready for friday! Cant wait for the game

| Arrowhead-13 Brookfield-7
Arrowhead attack had 12 of the 13 goals both from first and second lines. Pretty good physical game lots of hits %90 of them clean, but a decent game in all.

| Verona beat Regents pretty good. I want to say the final score was 10-4
edit: I checked our website and it says the final score was 12-3
and if anybody cares, jv won 4-1

| We finally played as a team and things just clicked. I'm not sure if they were short their normal players, but it wasn't very close. | |

| Verona played well, Regents didn't. The fact we were short several starters is no excuse. Congrats to the Wildcats...hopefully we'll play again soon. | |

Or maybe Waunakee's a team that just doesn't like running up the score. Seeing as how they haven't blown out anybody i'd say they're probably just a classy team.

| Marquette - 11 Northshore - 4
Marquette jumped out to an early 5-1 lead, though some sloppy play defensively in the second quarter kept the game close in the first half as Northshore scored two unanswered goals to bring it within two. However, Marquette dominated the second half of the second quarter and the third quarter as the Hilltoppers rallied off the 6 straight goals (3 in the second and three in the third), dominated possession, and shut down Northshore's offense. With an 11-3 lead going into the fourth, Marquette let some of their back-ups get some reps in a sloppy final quarter that contained a lot of penalties. Speaking of penalties, we had Sid Flanders ref us for the first time this season, and it was absolutely attrocious. I had hoped that he might have improved a little for this season...yeah, it did not happen. Regardless, it was a hard-fought game -- Northshore should not be overlooked for they are a better team than I expected, especially their poles. Joe Brennan is an absolute groundball hawk.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but let me throw out a friendly reminder that the petition is still out there, you can pm me for a link if you need it, to have him removed. It was noticed quite quickly last year and it will make even more of an impact if there are even more numbers to sign it this year.

It was noticed quite quickly last year and it will make even more of an impact if there are even more numbers to sign it this year. o by the way, according to brookfields coach, the sid flanders interpretation of what to do if you are doing a stick check and find gloves with holes in them, is to tell the player to modify them with tape and dont call a penalty. Luckily i think the majority of the refs ive played with actually call the game according to the rule book.

| Well in game it's a penalty. But outside of the game you can put tape on and if there's tape there it shouldn't be called. | |

Middleton - 2 It was a great game to be at tonight, nice to see so many people out for a lax game. I was really impressed with Waunakee all across the field. Middleton definitely showed some potential throughout the game, but was unlucky the whole night (i.e.-Hummel's couple rips off pipe). I'll expect to see both teams playing again in MALA playoffs.
