| Spoke with Mr Buckley on the phone this afternoon, he's done with the schedule just double checking everything. You'll find out very soon when you play. | |

| Group A: Winner - Milwaukee Select U16 (2-0, victories over Waukesha and Stoghton)
Group B: Winner - Verona (2-0, victories over Westside and Milw Select U18)
Group C: Winner - Waunakee (2-0, victories over Marquette and Northside)
Other notes: 1) Marquette (1-1): defeated Northside 6-2 (I believe), lost to Waunakee 9-7 in a very close and enjoyable game
2) Milwaukee Select U18 (1-1): defeated Westside in a blowout, lost to Verona in OT 8-7

| The Verona vs. Milwaukee Select U18 was probably the best game I've ever played in. The play was great on both sides, and just overall a great game. Mad props to the Selects coach, he was under control the entire game and probably the most honest coach I've ever seen (telling refs that they need to call an offsides when they had missed the call). We fought back from being down 4-7 to tie things up and bring it into OT. Our guy at X shot a pass to a cutter and just ended up dumping it around the goalie.
As for the Hot4Lax team that we played...they weren't so hot for lax. They were a team that pulled out and it was a bunch of replacement guys. One kid I was guarding didn't know he was playing until 12:30 last night and pretty blatantly (sp?) said that he wasn't going to try and wasn't going to show up tomorrow. However, the game stayed clean throughout.
Final Scores: Verona:8 Selects:7
Verona-9 Hot4Lax-3
On another note...does anybody know how the bracket works out for winning the championship? Like how you determine the championship game if there is an odd number of teams?

Like how you determine the championship game if there is an odd number of teams? yeah man, we sucked. i was the defensemen(number seven with the milwaukee helmet), at least we scored though. those were the only three goals we got all tourney. today when we were scheduled to play the team with Joe B(dont remember their name) we ended up just playing a traditional game with everybody on the field and no shoes or padding, just gloves. it was a very fun time

| Sounds like a good time to me. I could definitely tell who you were...you were pretty easily the best player on that team. What was the deal though, did none of you guys know that you were going to play until the night before? | |

thanks alot man, i think for the most part, none of us knew we were playing until either the night before or two nights before. I got a call from Sidney Jones on Thursday night asking me if i wanted to play, naturally i said yes. some of the guys on our team were first time players and hadn't played before, it was frustrating to say the least.

| waunakee takes home first place in the high school division
beat brookfield 15-1 in the championship.
but for me, highlight of the tourney was watching the verona goalie and waunakee goalie do a faceoff, and then sprint back to the crease after the waunakee goalie won the draw.
it was very fun and the refs had a great time watching it.
tried to have another in the championship, and both teams agreed, except a brookfield rep threatened to pull his team out of hte game if the refs allowed it.
it was all good and there was great sportsmanship all weekend
