I just can't see it. I like Max Seibald and fellow Mid-West attackmen Ryan Hurley but they are the last team I see winning. Realistically Duke, Syracuse, and Virginia are all fairly mixed in my eyes, but I see Duke coming out on fire against the Orange, and Virginia is way to powerful offensively for Cornell's mediocre defense.

| Saturday:
Cornell - 6 UVA - 13 Siebald with a Rabil-esque performance. it wont be enough againt the dynamic offense of UVA.
SU - 11 Duke - 14 Crotty records 7+ points, building momentum for the REAL ACC championship.
Sunday: dont know too much about d2 and d3, but here are my picks
Div. 2 Lemoyne - 12 C.W. Post - 7
Div. 3 Gettysburg - 9 Courtland - 8
I'm gonna be at Gillette Stadium for the D1 Final, anybody else going to make the trip? cuz this is how it's gonna go down
UVA - 14 Duke - 9
It pains me to say this, but UVA will win the 2009 National Title for the 2nd time in three years. Duke beat UVA during the regular season, twice. that should motivate the UVA players enough that they wont let it happen a third time. Duke will have it's retribution next year when crotty returns.

- Duke will not beat 'Cuse
nothing would please me more than to see a SU/UVA re-match, but i dont think it will happen. 'cuse has a lot of intangibles working for them, but Duke has enough talent to out-do 'cuse. to me, it's up to schroder from Duke, if he's solid in goal, then duke might walk away with the title, but if not then you very well be correct. PS - crotty wins the tewarraton.

| The Cuse' defense held Grant Catalino to 0 points in the qtrs against Maryland. I think it's virtually impossible to stop Ned Crotty, but they will do a great job of containing Crotty and Quinzani. The game will come down to the Midfield and Syracuse wins that match up. UNC's midfield lit up Duke last weekend. Hardy, Abbott and Perrit take over and win the game for Cuse. | |

Actually, Catalino had 2 goals and an assist in that quarterfinal game. I don't understand your logic at all....Crotty's impossible to stop, but they'll do a great job of containing both Crotty and Quinzani? How do you figure?

yes, but can the 'cuse midfield outscore the duke attack? i dont think so. really hope the orange make me eat my words, but UVA will conquer all in the end

| My bad.. maybe they held him scoreless for most of the game. Because lets be honest. Cuse stopped trying at the end and all the subs came in. Idk why I thought that haha. However my logic is. No matter what you do your not going to stop Crotty from making an impact. Same with Danowski and Greer either way they are going to do something. But the Syracuse defense is solid enough to slow him down opposed to UNC where he just made it rain out there. My main point is.... Syracuse will stop the Duke attack enough to where the game will need to be won by the Duke midfield and goalie, not the stellar play of the attack. | |

| Syrcause has great defense, but quite honestly, I think Duke is the hottest team in the country.
Ned Crotty is easily the most skilled offensive player in the nation, and Quinzani is an HM All American, and should have been higher. Lately, Brad Ross and and Will Mckee have been killing it, and Zach Howell is as good of a third attackmen as anyone in the nation, not too mention Justin Turri is quality off the bench.
Syracuse has some solid offensive threats with Matt Abbott, Kenny Nims, and newly eligibly Cody Jamieson, but honestly, Galloway is inconsitent at best, not to mention recovering from an injury that kept him on the bench in last weekends win.
Look for Duke to capitalize on either a recently injured, or new starting goalie by taking at least 40 shots. I stand by my statement.

| Solid point Jaron. Funny that you mention Galloway, I was debating that myself with him out last week and Duke's goalie Rob Schroeder hot lately. I know Desko wont do it but startin Cavalerri who killed it against Maryland wouldn't be a terrible idea. However Galloway has been in this situation before winning the title as a freshman. Schroeder has lived behind Loftus his entire career. All in all I think this game can really go either way, expect the score to be in the 13-15 range as well. But I'm rooting for Cuse'. Also how can you not say Virginia (as much as I dislike them) is the hottest team in lax right now, UNC is a great team but Duke barely pulled that one out. | |

| Because the last two times Duke has faced Virginia they have dominated, including a 16-5 slaughter.
Also Duke has won nine straight and 14 out of the last 15 games.

| Galloway wasn't injured, he had a bad case of the flu. Regardless, Cavalieri KILLED in that game and I wouldn't be surprised to see Desko start his hot goalie. I'm glad I'm not the coach who has to make that decision, because either way you're going to have people second-guessing you. | |

| Agreed with Bice, but you have to go with the experience. Jaron I think Virginia learned a lot from Duke smacking them around and has played out of their minds lately as well. The only losses on their schedule are Duke, beating Cuse' in the dome was HUGE. And even though this isnt the Hopkins with guys like Rabil and Huntley and not to mention Gvozden didnt play up to par, but after whooping Hopkins like that. I think UVA is the most legit team in NCAA right now. They will walk past Cornell and face whoever wins the battle of epic proportions between Duke and Cuse'. Duke has to be wanting a title BADLY. | |
