I didnt expect them to win last week, just hoped they were going to.

Today, I expected it. Best TE in the NFL (Toy Gonzales) made those Bengals defenders look like beeoches.

He grew up in KC.

Who cares. Tony Gonzalez isn't even close to the best Tight End
in the NFL anymore. Vernon Davis is twice the Tight End he is.

college, while at Maryland, he set school strength records for a tight
end in the bench press (465 pounds), power-clean (355 pounds), index
(797
pounds) and squat (685 pounds)

Then at the combine he ran the 40 yard dash in 4.38 seconds which is
the record for Tight Ends at the combine. He beat most Wide
Receivers. Davis also led all tight end prospects with 33 bench
press reps at 225lbs and a 42" vertical jump.

Jaron, you failed to mention the fact that Vernon Davis has 8 receptions this season and no touchdowns. Gonzalez has 38 catches and 3 td's already.

oh and jaron, hate to disagree with you, but davis is pretty unproven, and tony gonzalez is the all time leader in touchdowns by a tight end...

National Lacrosse League Cancels 2008 Season

The National Lacrosse League has announced the cancellation of its 2008 season. The cancellation was triggered by the Professional Lacrosse Players Association's executive committee rejecting the league's last Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) proposal.

"I would like to apologize to our fans, first and foremost", said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. "We are deeply disappointed that the PLPA's executive committee rejected our proposal without permitting all of the players to vote on the league's final offer. The offer included annual raises for all players in each year of the contract. Our owners made the best offer they could make while maintaining a sound business model".

Jennings continued, "This marked the fourth time we have had to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement in the past seven years. Professional sports leagues cannot do business without the stability of a long-term collective bargaining agreement. We will use this year to improve not only our relationship with our players but to improve our overall business model."

Jennings had sent an e-mail to players just after midnight, the point at which the league's deadline for reaching a new agreement had passed: "This will confirm that we have not reached accord on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. As such, the 2008 NLL season is cancelled."

On Monday, the league announced that the weekend's negotiations with the player's association concluded on Sunday without reaching a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. No further talks were scheduled between the two sides at that time, and the league said that the 2008 regular season would be cancelled if an agreement was not reached by Monday at midnight.

It means the players and the owners couldn't come to an agreement on salaries, so the season got cancelled.

Antonio Gates, Witten from Dallas, and Dallas Clark just to name a couple better tight ends.

this is just a shame. i thought that we were above this sort of thing as lacrosse players. wish it wasn't this way but things happen and people desire money to make a living. jus the way things are i guess. well there is always NCAA season to look forward to.
