| THIS THREAD IS FOR DRAFT PICKS ONLY! - Quote :
- You must draft a team of 14 per person, with only 8 slots available to start on any gameday (3 attack, 3 middies, 1 goalie, 1 defense unit). The remaining bench players can be whatever positions you want them to be. You may not fill the allotted starting positions with players from other positions, so choosing to draft 2 middies and 8 attackmen will just mean you start 3 attackmen and have a blank starting roster spot for your 3rd middie (which of course you can choose to do if its part of your strategy). Only Division I players (and defenses) are available. Once a player is selected by a member of your league, that player is no longer available for the remaining league members to select.
You may start your players as many times as you like, so factor in a team's schedule when drafting. You may not either activate or de-activate a player from your starting line-up on the same day he has a game. An example: you have 4 attackmen, 3 of whom have a game on saturday and are all starting, 1 who has a game sunday and is currently on your bench. On saturday, your 3 starters will be locked in the 'on' position so even though your sunday player can be toggled, there's no room for him as a starter. At the split second of midnight, your 3 saturday starters will now be free to get de-activated, but your sunday starter will be locked in the 'off' position. So you can only get the benefit of three starters over a 2-day window simply because you won't be able to swap them instantaneously.
Points are awarded based on actual game performance. Attackmen and middies get a point for each goal and assist. A team defense is awarded the difference between 13 and their goals allowed (ie, you would lose 2 points if your D gave up 15 goals, gain 10 points if they only let up 3). Goalies are awarded their saves * save percentage. The above information is quoted from the main fantasy page for the www.lax.com fantasy league. All information on what you are getting points for can be located there. As for the draft its' self... it is up the the commissioner to determine how to go about this. Thus I have come up with a fairly quick solution to go about this which may leave us finished before this weekend. But it is up to you as a member of this league to get your picks in as soon as possible. Round 1 and Round 2We will be going through the first two rounds how they were going about in the previous thread and league. We have a draft order based on sign-up and you will have your pick in the order of the draft. The objective of doing it this way is to get alot of the big names of scorers and what not out of the picture, so someone doesn't have all their names on the list picked before we even get half way. You have 12 hours from the time the person before you posted, to post your pick, failure will result in you lossing your pick for that round. You will get your pick back at the end of the whole draft. SO BE SPEEDY! Round 3 through Round 14The remaining rounds will be finished by me doing an automated system of picking. You will PM me a list of players that you would like to draft. I will then have everyones lists up and will continue with the draft order, if one player is picked for relicdavis (for example), and is located on my list as well, but he had that pick prior to mine, then that player is no longer eligable to be picked, thus removed from my list. If that player was to be my next choice, then who ever came after him would then be my new next choice. That guy could easily go to the next person, and my list could be down to nothing by the end of the 4th round, if everything went for the worst, I hope we dont run into this problem though. If we come to the point where a members list of players is down to nothing, all rounds will be posted with players already chosen, and anyone who is close to running out of players as well as the one who did, will be asked to continue their list as soon as possible. So the larger that your list is that you PM me, the quicker this can go. I list of 30 or more players will be appreciated. ---------- Round one was done using a number generator, I generated a number set of 10 numbers, 1-10, each member was numbered from 1-10 starting with who signed up. The number that matched the position you were in, is what draft pick you were. The open slots were bumped to the end. Round two will be done the same way.
