| Right now 'Cuse and Hopkins are both losing. Both games are in 3rd quarter.
Cuse is down 6-4 to Colgate.
JHU is down 5-3 to Loyola.
If either lost, especially 'Cuse this could really mess up the bracket.

| Actually, a Syracuse loss probably would not alter the brackets very significantly. Despite the loss, Syracuse's quality of wins and SOS would give them at least a third seed. The only thing that would change, most likely, is that Syracuse would be bumped from #2 to #3, and Virginia would jump up a spot.
More importantly, if UMBC loses to Albany, that could really cause some commotion. UMBC, a team that just a week ago was considered a lock, could be out of the tournament. Or even if they do get the at-large, that functionally only leaves one at large spot left that teams such as Army, Navy, Brown, Princeton, Cornell, and then the loser of the OSU/Notre Dame game all attempt to make a claim at.

You're probably right, the fact that there is no real clear #4 at this point, at least in my mind, prevents SU from the likelihood of dropping to #4, which would be a hell of a semifinal game, assuming Duke and SU would meet in Boston. Colgate up 9-6, 4 Q.

| SU goal off face-off fast break, about 2 min. left still, Colgate up 11-10, sounds like an insane game to be at. | |

| Colgate wins 12-11, they dominated at the X today, winning 17 of 25 faceoffs. Other than that it looked like SU was the better team. | |
