| D Middies shouldn't be doing a whole lot with their sticks anyway. D Mids are primarily used to just play body, position, and force a middie to his weak hand. Lifts don't tend to work as well with a shorty because you can't get the leverage that you can get with a longstick. | |

| hmm.. as ive been taught, a Dmiddie's job is to force the opponent into the alleys so they have bad angles, and keep them out of the middle. its just at higher levels, ive been told, nobody has a weak hand. if your guy is faster than you, im told to keep trying to lift his bottom hand to mess up his shot, in the event he gets a step on you. ive also learned in the past week that if you try to throw an over the head check, by bringing your stick above your opponents head and trying to hit his trailing stick, everyone just laughs at you when your desperation check fails miserably. Its a nasty habit apperintly, and unfortunatly i was telling my teammates it was a decent check to throw, because i used to be 3x as ignorant as i thought i was.
sry for the rambaling, i missed at least one period in there i guarentee | |
