2008 Playoffs

Brackets for playoffs as well as predictions

I think it'll be Waunakee/Middleton. Verona showed they're a legit contender, but now Waunakee will be 100% ready if they meet again. To me defense wins championships, I think Middleton has the best goalie/d pole combo in MALA. I give them a SLIGHT edge thinking third time is the charm vs Waunakee.

could middleton end up playing waunakee in playoffs or just in state ?

I believe you could face them in both, but for it to be State it'd have to be the championship game, not the semis.

it would be in the city championship at middleton. if middleton and waunakee both take care of business against sunprairie/regents, lafollette/verona and whoever they play in the first round.

but wouldnt it be cool if waunakee and middleton played 4 times in one season? with 3 of the 4 games under the lights?

Also, anyone got any info on MALL and Bay Valley brackets? Im assuming it will be Wausau and Arrowhead/Marquette

Rd. 3: MALL Championship

The #1 seed depends upon the upcoming game on Thursday between Marquette and Arrowhead. If Marquette wins, then they will be in sole position of the #1 seed in conference; if Arrowhead wins, then there will be a two-way tie for first place. I believe the first tie-breaker is Goals For/Goals Against, though I am not positive.

so i thought MALA was have 2 teams in state, does that mean that if middleton and waunakee both make it to the championship game, they will be in state ?

Seeing how its like 8:40, and still pretty light, and if you play at 7 and probably go to 8:30 at the latest....will light be called for. I mean i guess it could be used for effect. Anyways still cool.

TBD i think the MALA white and MALA red divisons both get to send one team to state, i think it has to do with that an MALA team is hosting the championship game

It would be better if we played at 8 lol. Our 'team' probably wouldn't show up if it was that late.

regardless, at 7 PM the lights are turned on for any sporting event at the high school. they will be on the entire time

That might be good to shoot photos, depending on what time my game gets done, i might drive over.

Thats correct, we get to send 2 teams since we are hosting state this year, my guess Wauanakee and Middleton.

well thats pretty tight, and i thought the game was at 5 tomorrow? so therefor it wouldn't be under the lights, jv maybe...

i expect better than normal turnout because the turf is sweet :p

i dont think that many ppl r going to come from middleton cuz there r alot of other sports going on
