2008 Playoffs

This is funny to read, because it sounds as if Middleton is having the same problems that we have had these past two weeks at Marquette -- not valuing each possession, forcing bad passes, throwing the ball away, playing good defense but not being able to transfer that into solid offense, etc. I know that we have already played each other so maybe I should have realized this earlier, but Marquette and Middleton appear to be oddly similar...I don't know, just a thought.

yeah well all im going to say to that is its kinda hard to get the ball up to open people when everyone stands there waiting to see how far u can take it

Any comments on what happened during that Marquette game?

I am amazed that marquette lost 6-2 to southwest! Upsets like that don't happen around here. What happened? So Marquette is done in the playoffs now?

Marquette lost 6-4. Both teams showed up to play, but Eastside just put together a larger run in the end. Joe Boticelli had a phenomenal game and scored 4 goals. Marquette, similar to all the rest of its games over the past two weeks, was just unable to find any offensive chemistry. I guess different year, same problems for Marquette -- a talented team in the beginning of the year that couldn't come together and produce come playoff time. I just want to congratulate Eastside, you guys really took it to us, played an intense but fun game, and were really class acts. Good luck to you guys and to Arrowhead as well!

...oh, and yes that means that we are done now.

Wausau #1 seed will host Neenah #2 seed at Wausau west High School on Monday, June 2 at 430 PM.

Wausau beat #4 seed Bayport last night 10-1 and Neenah beat #3 seed Appleton 12-7.

Per state tournament guidelines, the winner of this game will be the Bay valley reprsentative ato the State Tournament nd host the #2 Madison Seed Middleton.

I know there was some confusion on who plays where for the semi-finals. The #1 Bay Val Seed traveled to Milwaukee last year for the semi-final. This year it is the Bay Valley's turn to host a semi-final game. So, Middleton will be travelling to either Neenah or Wausau on Thursday.

The championship and consolation game will obviously be at Middleton's Stadium on Saturday.

wait.. what happens with the milwaukee champ.. are they travelling to madison? because i was under the impression bayvalley champ was coming to madison, and middleton was going to milwaukee to play arrowhead or eastside.

Thats how its supposed to be...unless it changed

isnt waunakee first seed, so wouldnt they play the milwaukee team and middleton play bayval. I thought it was the other way around?

yea good luck finding the field if you've never been there before.

best bet to getting to the field, exit highway 45 at Watertownplank Rd and continue east until you get to Harmonee Ave. Then go across the bridge and take an immediate right on to State St.(which will appear to be Menomonee River Pkwy). Continue east on State St, until you reach 72nd st. Hang a right(turn south) and you're there...

hart park is where 'Tosa East and MUHS play all of their home football games, it's a crummy field, but one of the biggest venues in Milwaukee County. Should be a grand old time.

from the GB rep, can we (middleton) get some confirmation asap after the bay valley winner is announced.

So what's the matchups between waunakee, middleton, arrowhead, and (bayval) ?? I have heard two different so far. And, the 3rd place game is before the championship game on saturday?

AHS vs. Waunakee - In Madison
Middleton vs. (Bayval) - In Bayval?
