| Here are the playoff seedings for the Bay Valley.
I will try to keep this updated as scores become available.
Bay Valley 2008 Playoff Seeding
Seed #1 Wausau vs. Seed #8 (Menasha/Southwest winner)
Seed #2 Neenah vs. Seed #7 Green Bay Metro
Seed #3 Appleton vs. Seed # 6 Notre Dame
Seed # 4 Bayport vs. Seed # 5 DePere
Menasha and Southwest concluded their play-in game last night. The results have not been entered into LAXPOWER as of yet. That winner will take on Wasuau on Wednesday of next week.

| Hey, I was just wondering how Bay Port got the game at home and the #4 seed when on LaxPower it says we are the #4 seed. Does it go to head to head before overall record to determine the breaker? | |

| what are you talking about Bay Port killed you like 11-3. and you are really want to be the higher seed, come on. your conference records are the same and they won the head to head. do you really think that laxpower is what the state goes by to pick seeds. | |

| Thanks for your question JSummer.
We look at a number of factors when determining a seed. This year, our seeding was complicated with us having actually 3 teams at 5-3. They were Appleton, Bayport and DePere. You guys played really well at the end of the year and had a great win over Appleton in overtime.
If you check LAXPOWER, however, Appleton has the highest ranking and a better won lost against common opponents, then Bayport does actually have a higher LAXPOWER ranking than DePere. I know these things bounce around, but at the time of the seedings; Bayport was higher.
Also, in head to head competition they (Bayport) beat DePere fairly convincingly.
With that said, seedings in my opinion don't mean alot in playoffs if your team is playing well. Good teams win no matter where they play.
DePere has a good team and whether you are a 4 or 5 seed, it shouldn't impact your ability to advance.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck in the playoffs.

Relax man, it was a simple question, not a cocky one that was meant for us to be the higher seed. I was just wondering how they ranked playoffs since on the LaxPower it has us at 4 and BP at 5, nothing against BayPort. You might wanna reconsider posting when you dont have anything to say that matters. Thanks for the info Green Bay Rep, just wanted to know how the seeding works and you claified it!

| Rich,
Congratulations on winning the Bay Valley Conference.
We (Middleton) have been planning on a Wednesday game, with start time TBD. Your posting says a tentative Thursday game. I sent you an email earlier today so that we can get the details settled. Please let me know (reply to my email) since we have a bus and parents ready to go tomorrow. Thanks!

| To all Middleton Parents and Players: Unfortunately, we had some outdated dates on the semi-final game. I incorrectly believed this to be Thursday and we had several balls put into motion regarding scheduling the field and officials, etc. I was unable to move the game back to Wednesday; though we did try. My sincerest apology for any incovenience this has caused you in your game preparation or travel plans. Best of luck to Coach Rauman and the Middleton Players in the Tournament.
