| I would've a couple years ago when I was a senior. The only school I talked to was St Johns and I found their coach to be arrogant and rude. | |

I can understand your position on the coach up there in Collegeville. He can come off like that...that's unfortunate. Good team up there, many of the players I know would enjoy a new coach. Duluth is a great team with a great coaching staff. Best of luck with tryouts! Hope it all works out for you. What position do you play?

They are a pretty top end MCLA team, you may be able to do something in the four years you plan to go there though. They have alot of in state kids from HS in Minnesota, a good number of AA from Minnesota go there so, its pretty tough competition.

| ive only been playing for 2 years, so in those terms, the 9 or 10 months i have before i would try out as a freshman are a long time. i have to stay worried about it though or ill get lazy and i wont train hard enough. | |

there will be a fall-ball program. i'd recommend emailing their head coach rob graff for more details

| so i played with a few guys from the team and a few guys that are trying out, and i havent put in nearly enough effort over the summer. I dont think im in good enough shape to make the physical cut-off, not to mention the skill cut-off. it appears as though about 15 of the 60 people trying out will make hte team, so maybe we can get pick-up games going or something, since there will be 45 of us that want to play and dont make the team.
I think im just gunna try to get in really good shape and try out as a D-middy next year, that gives me enough time to do something, since tryouts are on this friday and im nowhere near ready.

| Maybe try to put together an additional club team, separate from the school team? And just try to schedule games with teams as OOC games. | |

| even if it was just 40 guys getting together and picking teams, we would have enough for 2 teams and enough subs and everything | |

| Just be careful if you make another team. Sometimes coaches view that as a threat to potential players (since you would be paying next to nothing) and they don't like that. | |

| Don't schools in the MCLA have a JV team? Or is that just like the DI and stuff? | |

| I know MCLA is DI and II but what I was asking was if they had JV teams. And then if they don't I was going to ask if it was just the DI and II teams such as Duke, Le Moyne, Salisbury that have JV teams. Not MCLA DI and II. | |

| As far as I know NCAA does not have JV teams either. Maybe you're thinking of practice squads. | |

| speaking of army, anyone going to watch the games on teh 10th of October? Im definatly car pooling over with some friends from up here. im so pumped to watch em play. If Duluth can pull of the win over Army, that would be important in the lacrosse world, dont you think? an MCLA DI team beating an NCAA DI team? | |

Even though Army's going to sparingly play It's starters, UMD has no chance of winning.
