Madison Milkmen Pro Hockey Team?

So it seems they're bringing a pro hockey team back to Madison and having a vote to decide the team name. One of the options: Milkmen. Perhaps deviously stolen from the Milkmen lacrosse team? Discuss.

Pro as in NHL? If that's true that's awesome...and yes I would go ahead and say they stole the name. Jack you better patent that name quick!! (That's what the Fargo Force did with their name because that was one of the ideas for UND's new name when we have to switch...but no longer have that option because they patented it or whatever it is you do to team names.)

Pro as in IHL and in league with past Madison pro teams such as the Kodiaks and Monsters

oh and any law/pre-law students out there? do we have grounds for a lawsuit if they pick Milkmen?

We aren't an organization so we can't do that nor would I want to. I personally think it'd be cool if it was chosen.

If we were to copywright the name then we could realistically force them to buy the rights to use it. Its not cheap to do, and how much they would be willing to spend to buy it (if any) wouldn't make a substantial enough profit.

Personally, if they do it, I think we should figure out a way to work with them, this could actually be a great thing for Milkmen Lacrosse.
