Obviously works judging from this past season. They'll be fine this season. May not be one of the 2 elite teams in MALA but will definitely have an opportunity to win every game they play.

That game was ridiculous. Kreinz was the best player we played against all year and he pretty much single-handedly won that game for them. it ended up 17-10 after it was tied going into the fourth quarter.

Appleton Wausau Bay Port Notre Dame Neenah Metro De Pere Southwest Metrasha Oneida
But really its all going to be between Appleton and Wausau. however both teams could be real contenders in the state for sure

I agree with you that they'll be fine because with Mala's two divisions they do not play that hard of teams until the playoffs which is where they turned it on last year

| I'm doubting that Stoughton will have a team this upcoming spring. After the 08 class graduated, nobody has done any recruiting. Numbers are lower than usual, and coaches still have their thumbs in their bums. From what I've heard, nobody is doing anything. I guess they plan on playing on hopes and dreams. | |

| With the season drawing closer what are some updates on the teams I hear Verona may be the team to beat in MALA but maybe last years state champs will have say something about that | |

| Relative to their success this past summer, anyone can now notice that the Milwaukee Select kids are at a completely different level skill-wise in all areas of the game. The amount of improvement for all players between last season and now is mind-blowing. That being said, MAYLA will undoubtedly be one of, if not, the most competitive conference next year. For example:
KM: Kreinz and Solano (a one-two punch at midfield that can carry a team with great chemistry. Kreinz will be even better this year, Solano= human clear)
Arrowhead: Meyer (A),Digiacomo(M), Krause(M), Colin Opay(M), Garrett Opay (M), Wolf (D), Boerner (D), Niess(G). (All great two-way players, solid at midfield, solid at D) ( Opays and Digiacomo=great athletes/all around lax players)
MUHS: Dallman (M), Gebhard (A/M), Tjarksen (A), Schultz (A), Sullivan (A), Klemmer (D), Conley (FO) (THE offensive threat for next year, Tjarksen leads by example as a junior, tore it up this summer-look for him to put up big points, same goes for Dallman, Gebhard's senior year after a high-scoring summer with select)
Brookfield: Thiede (D), Hollowell (A) (Hollowell leads the attack for select-so shifty around the crease, will do the same for Brookfield, Thiede is ferocious)
North Shore: Shafer (D), DeGraff (LSM/D), Wilms (D), Braam (M) (DeGraff is a feisty LSM with great long-stick skills, Wilms is a human tank: ground balls, takeaway checks) If North Shore merges with East Side, they will be a definite contender.
Heritage Christian: Goglio (M), Stark (A)
Many of these players are highly touted recruits as well. Milwaukee is on the map.

i dunno. Drake and Logan may be the only offense that have though... and as much as i love the kids, i'm not sure they can run a team. disagree.

| Here is something to chew on for this upcoming year. Middleton is playing some tough competition.
Fri, Apr 9 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Sauk League Game Middleton HS Mon, Apr 12 5:00p -6:30p vs Regents (h) League Game Fitchburg (Regents), Thu, Apr 15 5:00p -6:30p vs Verona (h) League Game Verona, Connor Field Sat, Apr 17 3:00p -5:00p vs Wausau Vars League Game Middleton HS Mon, Apr 19 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Sun Prairie League Game Middleton HS Fri, Apr 23 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Memorial League Game Middleton HS Sat, Apr 24 3:00p -5:00p vs Bay Port (BayVal) League Game Green Bay Tue, Apr 27 5:00p -6:30p vs Lancers (h) League Game Madison (Lancers), Schenk Fri, Apr 30 5:00p -6:30p vs Waunakee (h) League Game Waunakee, Prairie School Sat, May 1 3:00p -5:00p vs Milwaukee-Marquette League Game Middleton HS Tue, May 4 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Regents League Game Middleton HS Fri, May 7 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Verona League Game Middleton HS Mon, May 10 5:00p -6:30p vs Memorial (h) League Game Memorial HS Fri, May 14 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Janesville League Game Middleton HS Sat, May 15 4:00p -6:00p vs Arrowhead League Game Middleton HS Tue, May 18 5:00p -6:30p vs Sauk (h) League Game Sauk Prairie HS Thu, May 20 7:30p -9:00p (h) vs Vikings League Game Middleton HS
It looks as though MALA is playing every team once, and the teams in their division twice. This means more games overall. Also Middleton plays: Marquette, Arrowhead, Wasau, and Bayport. Bayport is the only away game. This year is also the very first time that Middleton will play Arrowhead. I can't wait for 03/01/2010!

| Verona will be playing Carmel, Westfield, and Heritage Christian. All three teams are located in Indianapolis. Should hopefully be good competition. | |
