| Im guessing...
North: Sun Prairie Wanaukee Middleton Memorial Sauk Prairie
South: Stoughton Lafolette Oregon Verona West Janesville
Something along those lines? Maybe having West or Lafolette being up in north since they are Madison teams?

| Madlax.org said that it was working on it, so it seems pretty likely. They haven't finalized it so which teams are in which divisions hasn't been determined. | |

| That seems fair in all, but you need at least 1-3 hard teams in your line up. In wrestling our first meet is always against Arrowhead and Wisconsin Rapids every year and if u don't know anything about wrestling WI Rapids always has all 13 wrestling spots ranked, even back ups are sometimes ranked and always win state (at least the last 9 or so years). I mean i have no problem getting my butt kicked once or twice to be honest. | |

| Yea... thats like what I just said.
But this would be interesting. I mean Madison is the most growing location out of Wisconsin, has the most... why not give it 2 conferences that gives Madison two seats in state...

| The details are still being worked out but MALA would still be the "conference" in which there will be two divisions...probably north and south. Think Big 12 North and Big 12 South in college FB. Teams in each division would probably play each other two times (a home and home) Teams would be encouraged to play non-conference and non-division games on days when no div games are scheduled. Come the end of the season, all eleven MALA teams would be placed in a playoff bracket (by wins and losses in div and then GF and GA if necessary to determine seeding) to determine a MALA champion...my guess now is that since MALA hosts the state tourny this year, the top two teams in MALA would go to the state tourny (the hosting conference gets two because right now there are only essentially three confs in WI...Milw, Madtown and GB). There will likely be some tweeking but that's the premise in a nutshel. | |

| Sauk Prairie's coach is trying to alter with this. He said their division is too hard(kinda said that) so he wanted it to be a NW and SE divisions.
It would look something like...
NW Middleton Waunakee Sauk Memorial Lafollette
SW Stoughton Sun Prairie Oregon Jainsville West Verona
I'm not 100% sure that's right. But it looks something like that. I think he said they wanted it because the fact they wouldn't win any games. It sounds legit to me, but I it's just a division.. it doesn't mean you can't set up out of division games. And the fact that it's still in conference you can set up as many games as you wish as long as it doesn't interfere with your regular scheduled games. Isn't there a rule of amount of NC games you can play?

| I just got this from the MALA website:
At its November 7 meeting, the MALA board finalized the establishment of two divisions for boys high school lacrosse. Teams in the newly formed Red and White divisions will play home and home series during the season, which will count in their respective divisons for end-of-season playoff rankings. Games played out of division and/or conference won't count in playoff consideration. A playoff plan for MALA that will pit teams from both divisions is in the works.
RED--Middleton, Waunakee, Sauk Prairie, Memorial, Verona, Regents
WHITE-- Oregon, Stoughton, Janesville, Sun Prairie, LaFollette
The 2008 season schedule will be posted within a few days.

| Only thing is, will Oregon be able to maintain a program?
Ive heard many things that they have lost both coaches, and many players are resorting to other teams as a possibility. Aswell as the low numbers they had last year to field both Varsity and JV.

| If Oregon does merge with us ( I don't see it working since we already tried and failed within the first few practices) then it would make sence to fill the slot with Verona since they're probably the closest.
With this division deal goin down, we play each team in our division twice, right? I'm stoked for the schedule to come out..
