| Hey De Pere, I was really surprised at how well you guys came up with ground balls and were able to possess the ball. You had plent of long 2-3 minute posessions which almost turned into goals. If you guys play some wall ball and work on your stick skills, you guys should be a pretty solid team coming next season.

The score was closer than the game actually was. USchool put up a few solid runs to keep it close, though Marquette controlled the game for the most part.

| For the Verona Middleton game, it was 3-4 at half, and Verona came into the 2nd half with a 3 minute nonreleasable stick penalty where middleton scored 3 goals. Verona scored two to make it 7-5, middleton scored once, Verona scored once. Ended up 9-6. It was a pretty good game, but man those stick penalties....
Oh ya, and middleton was 3 men down at one time haha....and yes we did score off of it if ur wondering

| it was a close game. verona definitely picked it up this year and turned into a really good program again (not saying they are back in the 2005 era). the ref's really let the game go downhill, giving way too many penalties that didn't need to be called.
it was the guy who wears the ear plugs and old blue... so that explains it.
as for middleton, we are still kinda rebounding it seemed from the waunakee loss. came out very flat and un-motivated to play... hopefully that is dusted off now.

| 13-5 Waunakee vs. La Fallotte
very good game waunakee proved why they are among the states best. came out of half time up one goal, but by five minutes into the third they had put in at least 4-5 more and just put on cruise control from there. put back-ups in the 4th quarter. disappointing for me since this was the first game that i let in double digits

| Marquette 6 Eastside 2
Eastside played a very impressive game, definitely one of the most competitive games that we have had in conference this year. We got out to an early lead and led 3-0 at half, though Eastside never gave up and payed us hard throughout the entire game. Offensively, Marquette was led by Junior midfielder Rob Richlen, who posted a hat-trick and shined as one of the few bright spots for our offense that really struggled today.

This game was an absolute joke. I will give Brookfield credit in that they came ready to play, and worked their asses off the entire game, though officiating made this game closer than it ever should have been. Before people berate me for making excuses, just listen for a second. We came out extremely flat, as our seniors had to miss the first quarter (team policy states that if you miss practice, you sit a quarter. Friday the school took the seniors to Six Flags because it was our last day of school, so we missed practice). Also, honestly, we just underestimated Brookfield, which allowed them to come out of the gates firing, as they really took it to us. The first half ended with us down 3-2. In the second half, we came out and took control of the game. Our offense slowed the pace of the game down and dominated possession, our defense caused multiple turnovers and held them to minimal possession time, and we finally started to score. We scored 3 unanswered goals and took a 5-3 lead...Then Buchman took over. Buchman, the official, called penalties against us that did not exist and seemed to ignore calls against them. Every hit against ours became a cross-check or an illegal body check (regardless of how clean the hit actually was), every time we played body defense and forced their middies down the ally we were called with a push with possession, and every loose ball situation ended up with their possession because Buchman would call a loose-ball push. It was absolutely ridiculous. It was as if the officials realized we had taken control of momentum, so they decided that they would do everything in their power to destroy our momentum and give Brookfield the opportunity to get back into the game. In overtime, I was taking the ball up the field, got jacked in the back though maintained possession of the ball. Buchman through the flag for the illegal body check and I was like, 'oh sweet, he finally called something on them.' When I began to through the ball to one of our attackman, I got rocked in the side of the head with a blatant slash. I turned around, looked at the ground and said to myself, 'ugh, no second flag?' Buchman then grins and me and says, 'now there's one,' and calls me for a minute long unsportsmanlike conduct. Luckily, we won the game with a nice OT goal by Danny Myers, though regardless, it was the most frustrating game that I have ever participated in. Now I don't mean to take away from Brookfield with this post, they are a team that seems to have our number this year as they have played us hard two times in a row and have some solid talent (#10 attackman Clayton Hollowell is one hell of a player).
