Question: Select team for youth lacrosse good idea or not??

I have a question for current/former HS players. Would a select team for 7th and 8th graders have been of interest when you were in middle school? I would like to see a select formed for 2008 that will augment the current youth club teams not replace them. This should be a tournament team, kinda like the madison selects, but for 7th and 8th graders. This idea is, at this point, not for a madison capitols (hockey) type team that takes away players from clubs but one that give qualified/serious players a chance at some enhanced training and more games in adddition to their club teams. Augment is the key word here. This would be for the dane county wi club teams. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful. I placed this in the HS area because I want the older guys opinions.

Either way, Yes I think it would be a fun idea. I played on a similar team when I lived in Saint Louis and we traveled to Memphis when I was in 7th grade and had a great time.

Also, Because Lacrosse is trying to build its own name, I do not think you guys should call yourselves the Capitols.

I think it would be a great idea. The more expeirance the better.
