| I don't see middleton beating whoever 21-0 shows any skill. Yeah it shows they're better but i don't think running up the score like that is cool. I'm pretty sure we could have ran the score up against stoughton but whats the point? | |

| Nothing is more insulting, to me at least, as a goalie than a team that stops trying. If they're putting in 3rd, 4th, 5th line players I have no issues with it. Like I said though, my opinion. | |

so you would rather have 21 goals scored on you? coming from a guy whose played on a defense that has let in that many goals on more than one occasion, yes. i would rather play the 3rd and 4th lines of an attack unit and finish the game than watch the 1st stringers stall out the clock. i totally agree with Whitewater on this one.

| the first lines were out prettty damn quick... 11 or 12 different players scored. it was basically the time for the younger guys to show what they had. We also ran some new plays, it was a practice. | |

| beating a team 21-0 doesn't mean anything... as midlax20 said, 11 different players scored. our starters/first liners didn't see much action. we could only score on plays or so many passes... it helped a lot. memorial was having fun still, it was just our day mostly. | |

| games like memorial was a game that we were able to work out plays and get younger guys varsity time and just get down basic fundementals. Yeah dont get me wrong it was 21-0 but why just quit that makes the game no fun for anyone then. | |

| Thats about mine i guess, except... 2. middleton 3. waunakee 4. arrowhead
Middleton definatly played better than waunakee, the penalties killed us. No not penalties.. one penalty. We had 17 penalties and the illigal stick call was the one that costed us the game.

| its gotta go arrowhead, marquette, waunakee. then probably middleton
because middleton still lost to waunakee, and thats what ends up really mattering.
if anything it shows that waunakee was more disciplined than middleton by getting less penalties and closing the game strong in the 4th quarter, when middleton was getting tired.

| thats true, but, if you saw the game... middleton clearly played better than waunakee. We are definatly more balanced. Waunakee has like 2 good attack man, a good middie, and a good defender, and they really did most of the work. Middleton has an evenly balanced team, a couple kids stand out sure but everyone contributes to the team. Another factor for the loss was that we put our backup in for th 3rd and he like in like 4 goals, both of our varsity golie's are playing for their first years, so we like to split the time with between them.
middleton plays waunakee again later in the season @ middleton. But being someone who played in the game/watched the game. I can promise that if we keep out penalties below 10, we can definatly pull of a win.

| Mid-week Update:
Despite believing that “we played better,” Midlax, a loss is still a loss, keeping you guys above Waunakee just exemplifies your personal bias -- if you are adamant about you being better than Waunakee, prove it next time you play them, until then, you are ranked lower. And wiMiddie, Arrowhead is undeafeted and beat Waunakee, why are they third?
For me, Middleton’s loss drops them a few places, moving both Arrowhead and Waunakee up one to 2nd and 3rd, respectively. At the bottom of my poll, KM continues to win but has played one-goal games against Brookfield and Northshore, moving them down a few spots. Eastside, on the other hand, got roughed up by Arrowhead in their season opener, knocking them out of my poll for the first time of this season. They are replaced by the Madison Regents, who, similar to Sun Prairie, have had a solid rebound in the past few games following a disappointing loss to Middleton in their season opener.
Top Ten: 1. Marquette (4-0) – Previous #1 2. Arrowhead (3-0) – Previous #3 3. Waunakee (5-1) – Previous #4 4. Middleton (3-1) – Previous #2 5. Wausau (1-0) – Previous #5 6. Sun Prairie (6-2) – Previous #6 7. University School (1-1) – Previous #7 8. Bayport (2-1) – Previous #10 9. Madison Regents (3-1) – Previous UNRANKED 10. Kettle Moraine (3-1) – Previous #7
When looking at this, though, we must remember that these are just midweek rankings, making it difficult to have a perfectly sound Top Ten, as only a select few teams have played this week. Wait until Monday, because then we can factor in all of the games played this weekend.

Only possible way they could play in the play offs is if AHS wins the Milwaukee conference and Waunakee wins theirs.
