- The AHS waunakee game was incredible. First off I want to say that the Waunakee guys really had great support from their community and a ton of people showed up.
Arrowhead started off the game with a quick 3-0 lead. Waunakee comes back to make it 3-2. The rest of the game they seem to be one behind until about halfway through the 4th when they tied up the game at 6. I can't remember exactly how they scored, but it ended up being 6-6 with about 3 min left.
Arrowhead put in a goal around 2:20 left and was riding high, they possesed it in the box until Zach Rigsby was pushed out of the box at around 1:35 and Waunakee went down and scored a the equalizer. Mark Howard called for a stick check after the goal. Waunakee's #3 Midfield clearly pulled his strings as he heard his number being called. Sid Jones did not see this and Howard was Irrate... Stick ended up legal. Even worse, Arrowhead was called for a penalty on top of the goal and had to play man down. well with about 40 seconds left, Arrowhead gets the ball knocked away and Waunakee's goalie goes to clear and throws it out of bounds. Matt Berger gets it and beats his defender, he draws the slide and dishes it to David Clarck about 2 ft off of the crease, he winds up for what seems like a full minute and puts the ball in for the game-winner.
8-7
It was a great game and Waunakee put up a heck of a fight. I don't know if this is exactly how it happened, but it was the jist of the final minute or so. It sounds like it was a real "bleacher stomper"!

| i think wausau can pull it off again vs middleton. wausau already beat middleton at middleton stadium this year, even though it was in teh middle of hte mala city tourney... a loss is a loss, and its wausaus game to lose.
i cant see them losing it

| I haven't seen Wausau play, but based on their results, it's their game to lose. Although if Middleton could put everything together for a game or two they can be real good. Rainy and wet up in Wausau today too? If so that could add an interesting element to the game. | |

| Middleton can beat Wausau if they can be a bit more patient than they have been recently. They like to play an aggressive wreckless style, but against this level of competition they need to use some ball control. They can pick their spots to push the ball if a real opening is there, but can't try to force things too much. They mostly need to be patient on transition after a stop and get settled on the offensive end. They definitely have the talent to win. They must rely on their defense and expect a low scoring game. | |

| well wausau and middleton played today. very close game. wausau was up 4-1 through a lot of it but then middleton caught up and the score for the rest of the time was 5-4. last minute of play middleton had it down in the offensive end but then got a penalty. wausau was man up and matt williams scored to get it 6-4 leading wausau to the win. good game middleton, it could have gone either way. | |

| looking at those pics from crossczech (which are great by the way) definitely remind me of last years playoff game middleton at waunakee..
the two pictures of waunakee players devastated brought to mind the 14-15 overtime loss that they endured last year.
good luck to arrowhead and wausau. its gonna be a great championship game.
waunakee and middleton for the 4th time this season eh?

| just got back from wausau. i can honestly say that it was one of the best games that i have coached in since i started with the club. everyone really came together for our club and played our hearts out.
wausau, we really have to hand it to you guys. the game this time was a lot better then the first and it really could have been anyones game.
i think we were a little bus-lagged and took the first quarter to really get going, but we rallied back late and a super job by the goalie from wausau, he alone won the game. lots of shots that i thought were going in didn't and i was shocked.
i really hope wausau takes it all the way, they really deserve it!

| Me and Jack made the drive to Wausau to watch the game live. It was a pretty good game, and as people have been saying, Wausau had a really great fan turnout.
Wausau was very good at slowing down the tempo of the game. They possessed the ball well, and only took shots that had a high percentage of going in. Their goalie came up big and made some clutch saves towards the end of the game to seal the win for Wausau.
Once again, it was Middleton's lack of capability to clear the ball that lost them the game. There was no settled clear, often times one player would just try to outrun the entire Wausau team, or unnecessary passes would be thrown in Gilman fashion to the attack, often leading to turnovers. The offense did a better job today of possessing the ball, but it still could have been a bit better. Tate Fuhrman played well in cage, and Middleton's defense played pretty solid, implenting what seemed like a zone, but could have just as easily been an early slide package.
Congrats to Wausau on making it to the state finals for the first time and good luck in the championship!

| So Wausau vs AHS. That should be a real good game considering AHS had to come from behind to beat Wausau during the season. | |

| AHS - 10 Wausau - 8
Both teams are very talented and I think in that respect they are equal. What is going to make or break the teams is how well they will be able to make mid-game adjustments and how well they can play in the hot/humid weather that tomorrow is supposed to bring.
