| I think we can all agree that what 00 form our team did was wrong, and unsportsmanlike, but I also think that we can agree that 10 has a bad way of handling things too, kicking kids, hitting people without the ball, but the games over, and the penalty would'nt/didn't change anything. So, lets just move on and get back to the games tonight, and this weekend. | |

| It ended 8-4 I believe... great game of lacrosse
The score didn't necessarily show how good of a game this was, it really was a great game with some excellent lacrosse played. | |

This is true... my perspective is a little tainted playing JV Lacrosse... so im just not used to the more wide open play of Varsity. Yet I think that both teams were still playing a good style of lacrosse Both teams were sloppy and not to downlpay them... but the first two goals of the game were due to some sloppy goaltending | |

| Terrible start of the game as marquette went up 2-0 off two empty net goals. The AHS goalie takes the ball towards mid during clear and attempts pass and it seemlingly flies sideways of the stick, Gebhardt came in from side and picked it up and got two empty net goals with no one there, muhs was up 2-0 about 4 minutes in first. Rest of game VERY even, arrowhead played very sloppy, dropping passes everywhere. But fought back to a 3-2 score at the end of half. Changing part of the game was a play where Muhs changed guys and two went out on accident, refs were both focused on behind net guy crashing in, dished it to one of the guys that came out, the other hurried off unseen except to the crowd and the benches, and they called it a goal and no penalty.
Despite the score game was very even. Pretty sloppy on both sides. Arrowhead had big troubles on clearing and converting their chances. Some bad goals changed momentum of the game from the very start. In the end both teams had a pretty even matchup, just marquette was able to get those needed breaks (like two free goals and a third questionable) and came out with the win. Most likely these two teams will face each other two more times during the rest of the year.
---Marquette missing one of their beest players casper, but arrowhead was missing three middies. Good game, penalties for both times very high, I believe arrowhead at 11 with a 3 minute stick penalty to MUHS 9 penalties? Great game and close until start of 4th when that stick penalty came and arrowhead then went two man down with a unsportsmanlike.
Marquette seemed like a great team that is no doubt 1 or 2 in state. | |

In the first half, Marquette utilized strong riding to jump out to an early lead, as Sean Gebhard scored two empty-net goals following poor clears. The rest of the first half contained some strong defensive play and sloppy offense for both teams, as the first half ended 3-2 Marquette. In the first half of the third quarter, a few penalties from Marquette allowed Arrowhead to control the possession. With the score 4-3 Marquette midway through the third quarter, the Hilltopper kicked it into gear. Marquette controlled the possession and scored 4 unanswered goals to give them a five-goal lead that sealed their victory. A late goal by Austin Grimes (Arrowhead) ended the game with an 8-4 win for Marquette. Marquette's goalie, Alex Gradecki, played out of his mind, as he led a strong Marquette defense that played phenomenally despite being man-down for a large portion of the game. | |

| Well only one game really matters, Arrowhead is something like 12-1 in playoffs and the only lose was the state final, so we'll talk after that game. | |

| Since Arrowhead and Marquette will face off again, this game will pretty much just be used as a 'feeler outer' game. Both teams will probably make plenty of adjustments for the next meeting. | |

| Arrowhead beat Green Bay Metro 9-2. We were playing sloppy in the first half, I believe because we were tired and still down from our loss last night to Marquette.(GB's goals were in the first half.) We came back strong the second half and shut them down. | |

Marquette - 3 don't have much info on the game, but it looked kind of sloppy from my perspective It was a tough fought game. Goals were hard to come by. Few penalties considering the style of play. I think the refs were letting us play a little bit. No high hits or too many hits on helmets. Ground balls were a battle with lots of bodies flying on both teams. A physical but for the most part clean game. Probably a little sloppy b/c of the intensity of both teams. | |

| Sloppy? good talk.. maybe marquette... but middleton played phenomenal. Reppin Middleton Lacrosse all day baby.
Our defense played out of their minds. Goals were scored by variety of players. Middies and attackman played filthy, even though a couple middies were gone for the game, JV players stepped up and did the job. | |

| Middleton just dominated Marquette defensively. Both Danny Meyers and Gebhard were pretty much 100% contained and anytime they beat their defender there was a slide instantly. Offensively Middleton got goals from Hummel making Marquette's goalie look silly with a snipe, also with goals from Bonebreak, Kiel Peterson and Watson. Reffing was pretty bad, they let things go, but there was an ice pick that should have been a 3 minute penalty, and AT LEAST 10 offsides. Middleton's goalie played outstanding. Marquette is a great team. I watched them versus Arrowhead yesterday and regardless of the score it never appeared Arrowhead had a chance of winning that game. This game shows that any top team in Madison or Milwaukee could win on any given day. I'm assuming same could be said for Wausau but I haven't seen them play yet. | |
