Bullrush Tournament

I was looking at our schedule today and I saw they have the first games out for bullrush. We're set to play Arrowhead :[ lol.

What all teams are going to be there?

how do u no the schedule?

i got it in a email from r team parent, we play Champlin Park who appears solid according to the laxpower rating at least

I don't know the schedule, but I looked on Laxpower and it says we play Arrowhead on May 17. So i'm assuming that's Bullrush since it's on the same date.

someone should post the list of games/bracket...

Once I get my hands on the full bracket I will do so. I don't really feel like going through all the laxpower pages and finding out who plays who lol.

It said something around 15-16 I think. Go to www.veronalacrosse.com and click on the Bullrush Tournament tab. It says everything about the tournament.

1.Champlin park vs Laf Sat:9am - winner faces Verona Sat:noon
2.Andover vs Memorial Sat:9am - winner faces Waunakee Sat:noon

3.Arrowhead vs Stoughton Sat:10:30 - winner faces Sun Prairie Sat 1:30
4.Janesville vs St louis Park Sat:10:30 - winner faces Regents Sat 1:30

Oh wow, nice job on that one relic. Man, I really wish that we would have signed up for this tournament, especially seeing how Verona got some quality Minnesota teams out again this year (by quality, I am basing that off of Laxpower).

My predictions:
1st Round:
Champlin Park d. La Follete
Andover d. Memorial
Arrowhead d. Stoughton
St. Louis Park d. Janesville

2nd Round:
Champlin Park d. Verona
Waunakee d. Andover
Arrowhead d. Sun Prairie
St. Louis Park d. Madison Regents

Semis:
Champlin Park d. Waunakee
Arrowhead d. St. Louis Park

Finals:
Champlin Park d. Arrowhead

Hey anyone know who is rumored to be the supposed "other" Photographer that might be at the tournament. I have been talking briefly with acouple of the people who are in charge but need to make sure to square things away.

Just wanted to know.

Oh yea where is the second field located in comparison to the HS field #1?

It's right behind where the concessions and stuff were last year. If you enter the school from the parking lot and walk past the track, keep walking past field one. go up the hill and i think thats where all the concessions and other stuff is gonna be. look down a little farther and you'll se the field, i don't quite remember the name of the park.

Who ever plays Andover beat them...they were the only team to beat us last year so I naturally hate them, ahha...the score was 3-2. I was the worst lacrosse I have ever played/seen played and the refs made the worst calls and were very inconsistent all game.

its going to be memorial first round, and if andover is a top minnesota team, i honestly dont see how memorial will do it, seeing that they lose by 10 goals every game it seems, and 21-0 to middleton.


then the winner of that game takes waunakee after that.

Andover is most certainly not one of the best MN teams. I'd be surprised if they are even top 15 in their state.

Isnt Champlin Park the best team in MN?

Champlin Park is certainly one of the better programs in Minnesota.

Blake is easily the best HS team in Minnesota. They are dynamic, tons of talent at defense and the midfield, and a couple of good attackmen... plus Kip Dooley, who is a stud heading out to D1 Dartmouth next year.

Will Kip Dooley's team be attending the bullrush tournament at all or is that one of the teams that isn't going to be there?

I believe Dooley plays at Blake, and I don't think Blake is playing at Bullrush.

As for Champlin Park, they are pretty good, usually at the top for Minnesota. Could quite possibly win the whole thing. I would say along the lines of a Middleton... ???

The distinction regarding the structure of high school lacrosse in Missesota that we have failed to make is that there are two separate divisions in Minnesota HS lax, MSHSL and MBSLA. I don't fully understand what differentiates the two, though I believe MSHSL would be like DI, as it contains the strongest high school programs in Minnesota that get the most rep. The top teams in this division year in and year out are teams like Blake, Benilde St. Margaret, and Edina. MBSLA, which I believe to be the equivalence of DII, contains the likes of Champlin Park, Andover, St. Louis Park, etc. Typically, Champlin Park and Andover are two of the stronger teams in the MBSLA; however, they never compete with any of the teams in MSHSL, especially not Blake. Regardless, Champlin Park will most likely be an extremely strong team, as their have been rolling through the MBSLA and are sitting at 8-0 on the season. Andover is ranked second by laxpower in the MBSLA at 9-1 (only loss to CP), and SLP is ranked 8th at 8-3.

...and no, none of the MSHSL teams are going to Bullrush, which means no Blake.
